Commercial Glazier

Genex Windows is looking for commercial glaziers. The ideal candidate will be able to perform the following:

  • Install glass in windows, skylights, store fronts, and display cases, or on surfaces, such as building fronts, interior walls, ceilings, and tabletops
  • Read and interpret blueprints or specifications to determine size, shape, color, type, or thickness of glass, location of framing, installation procedures, or staging or scaffolding materials required
  • Determine plumb of walls or ceilings, using plumb lines and levels.
  • Fabricate or install metal sashes or moldings for glass installation, using aluminum or steel framing.
  • Measure mirrors and dimensions of areas to be covered to determine work procedures.
  • Fasten glass panes into wood sashes or frames with clips, points, or moldings, adding weather seals or putty around pane edges to seal joints.
  • Secure mirrors in position, using mastic cement, putty, bolts, or screws.
  • Cut and remove broken glass prior to installing replacement glass.
  • Score glass with cutters’ wheels, breaking off excess glass by hand or with notched tools

Service/Repair Expert

Genex Windows is looking for service/repair experts. The ideal candidate will be able to perform the following:

  • Effectively diagnose and repair issues with previously installed windows, siding, and doors
  • Communicate with client and department on service status and next steps
  • Update the Client Management System
  • Accurately assess and complete all required warranty work documentation and submissions
  • Complete any minor adjusting, repairs and touch-up to refurbish product to customer expectations
  • Properly prepare vehicle, service parts, and tools to service jobs in the most effective and efficient manner
  • Serve as a punch-list support as needed to close jobs
  • Punch list items may include things such as mortar, light painting, sanding, install lights or accessories, or repair siding
  • Provide guidance and expertise to other service technicians

Skills and Abilities

  • Experience installing windows and doors is a PLUS!
  • Basic Carpentry skills
  • Experience working with power tools
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
  • Ability to work outside and tolerate exposure to a variety of outdoor elements – heat, sun, cold
  • Adherence to safety policies and practices

Window Installer

Genex Windows is looking for window installers. The ideal candidate will be able to perform the following:

  • Measure, mark, and record size specifications for each installation project
  • Read and interpret work plans to determine daily work activities
  • Install windows of specified size, design, and quality in the allocated spaces
  • Clean and prepare construction areas to eliminate any possible hazard
  • Carefully use, clean, and store all work related equipment
  • Immediately communicate any job issues or complaints to management
  • Assemble and install window panes and panel fixtures

Receptionist

Genex Windows is looking for a receptionist. The ideal candidate will be able to perform the following:

  • Welcomes visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries
  • Directs visitors by maintaining employee and department directories; giving instructions
  • Maintains security by following procedures; monitoring logbook; issuing visitor badges
  • Maintains telecommunication system by following manufacturer’s instructions for house phone and console operation
  • Maintains safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

The candidate should have excellent verbal communication, Microsoft Office skills, customer focus, and organization. The candidate should be professional in appearance, and be able to handle pressure and manage supply.
